Race Update:
2012 date is Sunday, November 4th
A BIG Thank You!
To everyone that came to the race Sunday! Thank you! What a beautiful day after a tough spell for many in New England with our October snow storm and the lack of power. So many fit, healthy and wonderful women ran and walked on Sunday, almost 1,000 in all. Thank you to everyone that wrote to us with Kudo's on the race.
The LOCO Team worked hard to make this a fun and well organized race for everyone.. A special congratulations to our second place finisher: LOCO Linda's sister, Jane Welzel who cracked the 1:30 barrier at the young age of 56. Hope to see you all next year.. LOCO Mike. Race results link is below.

Welcome to the 2011 All Women & One Lucky Guy Half Marathon. (Now run in Newburyport, MA)
(Formally known as the Harvard Pilgrim Maine Coast Half Marathon)
This year the race will be held in the historic port of Newburyport and West Newbury, Massachusetts on Sunday, November 6th 2011. The course runs on spectacular country roads starting at Newburyport High School and then runnng mostly in the town of West Newbury where it circles around two reservoirs.
This year you will find the course much easier than the previous hilly course in Maine. If you are coming to visit from near or far, Newburyport has much to offer for Hotels, Inns, Restaurants and of course shopping. Plus you can visit Plum Island, or simply walk through the cobblestoned historic sea port.
Please join us for this family-friendly event which is the only all women's Half Marathon in New England, with our special male contestant - the One Lucky Guy.

Congratulations to all finishers in last year's Harvard Pilgrim Maine Coast Ha
lf Marathon. Race results are posted on coolrunning.com.
Cool weather and crashng surf did nothing to dampen the spirit of over 1,000 fit females in this years event. A rare storm surge combined with high tide to create a unique crashing surf issue. We understand that several runners were "swamped" at just past mile 8.5. Hope you enjoyed or survived the salt water shower.
This is the only all women's half marathon in New England. A total of almost 1,200 women and "One Lucky Guy" rand on a picture perfect course along the rocky coast of Maine. Running though York Village, and along Long Sands Beach and past the infamous Nubble Light House.
